A husband who mocked his old wife’s wrinkled skin and gray hair froze in shock when he saw her on television with a famous Hollywood star.
“I’m moving the dresser out of our room,” Pierre joked before going to bed. “You’re too old to wear makeup now. Nothing on earth will be able to hide your wrinkles!”
Brooke Gill, 59, used to hear such taunts from her husband. When they fell in love decades ago at university, Pierre was flattered by Brooke’s beauty. But today, he constantly criticizes her for her timeworn appearance.

Brooke was the woman many men dreamed of in her time. But she only fell in love with one man, Pierre, her current husband. The couple lived happily together for decades and had five children, all of whom now live abroad.
” Are you dating someone? You’re wearing way too much makeup lately… But who would be blind to date an old woman like you? Hahahahaha….”
Although Pierre retired too early, Brooke decided to continue working. She ran a real estate company and kept busy while aging gracefully.

The agent’s words inspired confidence in Brooke. She was thrilled and launched her secret modeling career that day. Every day after work, she went to the agency and posed for various photoshoots. Soon, she became one of the top models, posing for several renowned fashion and cosmetic brands.
Since she was coming home later than usual, Pierre began to be wary of her glowing skin and adorable hairstyle. One evening, she came home smelling wonderful. She seemed confident in her own skin and was all smiles. This irritated Pierre.
“Are you dating anyone?” he asked her.
Brooke froze in shock. “What did you just say?” she retorted.
“Haha… I was just wondering… You’re wearing way too much makeup lately,” said Pierre. “But who would be blind to go out with an old woman like you? Hahahahaha…”

Pierre’s words broke Brooke. She skipped dinner and cried herself to sleep that night.
The next morning, Pierre saw his side of the bed empty. “Where did she go without even making me breakfast?”
He looked everywhere for Brooke, but she wasn’t there. Pierre had the day off that day. He tried calling his wife, but she never answered his calls.
Peter was furious. “Wait until you get home, you stupid old woman.”
After making himself breakfast, Pierre turned on the television and, as he changed the channel, he stopped dead on a fashion channel.
It featured several older women surrounding a famous Hollywood celebrity who was a guest on the show. And next to her was Brooke!
“BROOKE??? What are you doing on TV?” he shouted.

Pierre gaped at Brooke as she took the microphone. “My husband pushed me to do it,” she said. “He thinks beauty is all about a woman with soft, velvety skin and beautiful hair.”
The camera zoomed in, capturing Brooke’s tearful eyes. “Does love fade just because we get older? Why are people obsessed with beauty that’s only skin deep?”
“To the men who think a woman’s place is in the kitchen, NO, IT’S NOT!” Brooke added. “And to the husbands who think their wives’ wrinkles and gray hairs are a shame, look in the mirror and talk about it!”
Brooke’s interview hit Pierre like a bomb. “What did I do? How could I be so rude to my beloved wife?” he exclaimed.
He decided to apologize to Brooke and had a surprise for her that evening.

When Brooke got home, the house was plunged into darkness. “Pierre? Are you home?” she shouted. But there was no answer.

“I’M SORRY, DARLING!” Pierre said, kissing Brooke on the forehead.
From that day on, he stopped making fun of his wife’s age and was truly proud of her.
